Big Blackbird

Rarely seen (especially with the red lever) pen, Mabie Todd Big Blackbird. Made in England, around 1927 I believe. Black chased hard rubber, ringed pattern. Outstanding condition, clear guilloche, clear imprint, very dark brown colour of the ebonite. Imprinted Blackbird on a cap, section, feed and nib. The nib is HUGE, it measures 3,5cm, last pic shows it in comparison with Waterman Ideal nr 2 one. The pen is an oversize one, fat and big – 14.1cm closed, 17.5 cm posted. Additionally, it’s a great writer, the nib is very smooth and with a great amount of flex – up to 2mm!!! HIGHLY recommendable item.
